I’m still a newbie when it comes to all things touring & so people, please pipe in to correct me but the only way that I can see for any cyclist to carry more than nominal amounts of weight (10 kgs+) on the front of the bike without affecting steering appears to be to use a frame mounted front rack like one of the following:

Anybody has any experience with this style of rack and touring; because to me, the surly porteur house rack appears better suited with one of these frame racks than their own fork mounted porteur racks?
